This specific type of heat treatment hardens the axle all the way to it’s core providing exceptional torsional strength.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eWe can not stress enough the importance that Strange Engineering does all of its machine work on the splines prior to heat treatment. This allows for consistent heat treat depth, leading to a stronger axle.
