In many cases, yes. Aftermarket parts from brands like Edelbrock, Holley, and MSD are designed for higher performance, durability, and tuning flexibility compared to stock OEM components.
Many parts can be used on both street and race applications, but some components—such as race fuel systems or aggressive engine upgrades—are better suited for dedicated performance or drag racing builds.
Race fuel typically has a higher octane rating, but that alone doesn’t create more horsepower. This means properly built engines can safely make more power and perform more consistently under racing conditions compared to running standard pump gas.
