Lee Motorsports is a family-owned and operated motorsports company located just south of Joplin, Missouri, on Gum Road near Hwy 43. What started as a small garage-based speed shop has evolved into a race-focused motorsports business serving racers and performance enthusiasts across the United States.
Today, our focus is simple: hardcore drag racing, race-proven performance products, trackside support, and equipment we personally trust under pressure.
We are heavily involved in big-money drag racing and compete locally, regionally, and nationally at some of the largest drag racing events in the country. From small tire and bracket racing to high-stakes weekend shootouts, we live this sport every week—not just behind a counter, but in the staging lanes, pits, and winner’s circles.

Our team actively campaigns rear-engine dragsters, doorslammers, and race support vehicles across the United States, competing at major big-money drag races coast-to-coast. The products we stock are products we rely on ourselves when money, safety, and performance are on the line.

Tuff Jug Stocking Dealer
Lee Motorsports is also a stocking dealer for Tuff Jug fueling products, offering fast, clean, and reliable fueling solutions for racers, pit vehicles, motorcycles, and motorsports applications.
Because nobody enjoys spilling fuel all over the trailer floor at 2:00 AM while trying to make first round. Humanity somehow invented space telescopes and still struggles with fuel jugs.
Selective Powersports & Pit Vehicle Sales
While we occasionally offer select pit bikes, scooters, utility vehicles, and powersports-style units, Lee Motorsports is no longer a traditional powersports dealership.
We do not focus on servicing, repairing, or maintaining modern powersports equipment.
Instead, we selectively offer practical pit transportation and people-moving solutions that make sense for racers, race teams, shops, tracks, farms, and large properties.
We focus on value, reliability, and usefulness—not filling the shop with disposable machines held together by zip ties and warranty paperwork.
Built from the Garage Up
Lee Motorsports was founded by Matt Lee, a longtime paramedic with more than 25 years in public service and over 30 years involved in drag racing and motorsports fabrication.
The business began as a small speed shop operating out of a garage, fueled by a simple philosophy:

That same mentality still drives the company today.

Matt Lee has spent decades in both emergency services and motorsports, building a reputation for honesty, reliability, and keeping calm under pressure.
That mindset carries directly into Lee Motorsports.
Whether helping a racer diagnose an issue in the pits, sourcing critical race parts before eliminations, or helping a customer choose the right setup, the goal is always the same: provide real-world advice backed by actual experience.
