Practical application examples

• Street-performance installation: Compare the factory battery’s size, polarity and starting requirement before choosing D2400. Add the current demands of audio equipment, lighting and other accessories to the charging-system plan.
• Engine-off accessories: A starting battery’s cranking rating does not tell you how long it can operate an audio system or lighting. Use the capacity and permitted discharge information with a measured load.

Charging, storage and care

Use an automatic charger with an AGM profile and the correct system voltage. Follow the battery’s applicable instructions and label for current, temperature and voltage limits. Flooded-battery or repair/desulfation settings should not be assumed suitable. Check state of charge during storage and before demanding use.

Questions about D2400

Will D2400 fit my vehicle?

The confirmed physical dimensions are 10.24 × 6.65 × 8.31 inches (L × W × H). Height excludes terminals; allow additional cable and terminal clearance. Compare your tray, polarity, terminal style and hold-down before ordering.

What do the power ratings mean?

CA and CCA describe starting performance under different test conditions. Maximum amps describes peak current capability. Amp-hours describe stored charge at a stated test rate; these ratings are not interchangeable. Actual runtime depends on load, temperature, voltage cutoff and battery condition.

Which charger should I use?

Use an automatic charger with an AGM profile and the correct system voltage. Follow the battery’s applicable instructions and label for current, temperature and voltage limits. Flooded-battery or repair/desulfation settings should not be assumed suitable. Check state of charge during storage and before demanding use.
