Start with the fluid, operating pressure, temperature and route. Then select compatible hose ends. Outer braid appearance does not identify the liner or establish suitability.

Rubber or PTFE?

Nylon braided rubber saves weight and routes more easily. Stainless braided rubber adds outer protection but can abrade adjacent parts. FLF lists gasoline, diesel, oil, coolant and water for its rubber families.

FLF’s selection guide favors PTFE for ethanol and methanol fuel systems. PTFE needs more room around bends. The separate specification page gives broader rubber fuel-compatibility claims; confirm your exact fuel blend and hose with FLF.

Pressure & installation

Check size-specific working pressures, fluid temperature, nearby exhaust heat and the lowest-rated component. Heat sleeve does not increase the hose’s pressure or fluid-temperature rating.

Neither high pressure nor PTFE construction alone establishes brake-system suitability. The supplier pages disagree about braking; obtain explicit approval for the exact assembly.

Shop hose, hose ends, routing supports and heat protection. For submerged fuel-tank use, verify a hose specifically rated for immersion.
